Kyungpook National University, along with the world, has been struggling to contain the spread of COVID 19.  Social distancing has emerged as a proven method to flatten the curve, and KNU is doing what it can to facilitate social distancing.  One of the steps taken was to move all classes to an online format through the KNU Learning Management System.

After the deferment of the start of the semester, classes started on March 16, entirely online, non-face-to-face.  As with any large-scale implementation of an all-encompassing system, there was a learning curve for professors and students alike, however, as we power through week 3 of the semester, administration is pleased with the overall level of success, given the unfavorable backdrop.

Recently, due to the ongoing scourge or COVID 19, the decision was made to continue online learning through May 3.  We all look forward to the chance to interact with our peers in the classroom once this period concludes, though it is important to remember that KNU is reacting to an outside threat to everyone’s health and if it becomes necessary to extend the date further, online learning may continue past May 3.

Please remember to stay vigilant despite the receding numbers of new COVID 19 patients.
