Overseas field training was conducted in the Netherlands and Germany to help prospective young entrepreneurial farmers acquire advanced global technology and strengthen their entrepreneurial capabilities.

The Kyungpook National University Agricultural Startup Specialization Project Group, supported by both the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, and the Korean Agency of Education, Promotion and Information Service in Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (EPIS), conducted overseas field training in horticulture and livestock for 16 days each.

This overseas field training was jointly operated with the Chonbuk National University Agricultural Startup
Specialization Project Group. About 20 students from each field of study were selected to participate.

In the field of horticulture, the group travelled to Germany, the Netherlands, and Belgium, and visited various farmers and businesses to observe use cases of the latest technology in facility gardening, social farms, youth farms, and smart farms. In the field of livestock, the group visited companies, schools, and institutions that deal with various livestock breeds, including pigs, dairy and beef cattle, and poultry, to provide practical training toward the strengthening of global entrepreneurship capabilities, such as livestock-related automation technology and processing.

The KNU Agricultural Startup Specialization Project Group operates and supports a variety of practice-oriented, non-curricular programs to foster agricultural start-up talent.
