The Spring 2025 Farewell Ceremony was held on June, 10, 2025, to celebrate 176 students who successfully completed their studies at Kyungpook National University. These students were part of exchange programs or dual degree programs from prestigious overseas universities that have international exchange agreements with KNU. Korean participants of the "Buddy Program," who were matched 2:1 with these international students and also shared many campus experiences together with them, also attended the event.
For the Spring 2025 semester, a total of 195 students from 93 universities across 29 countries participated in the exchange and dual degree programs. Among them, 176 completed their programs, while the remaining 18 will continue their respective study programs into the next semester.
In her congratulatory remarks, Dr. Hee-Kyung CHOI, Dean of International Affairs, sincerely congratulated the exchange and dual degree students on their successful program completion. She also noted, "Though there may have been challenging moments for you due to cultural differences, I believe your experiences here have become a great asset. This occasion is also very meaningful for me, as I recall my own memories of studying abroad in my youth."
Looking forward, approximately 282 international exchange and dual degree students are expected to visit Kyungpook National University in the Fall 2025 semester.
