The operation of the joint pavilion was part of the Daegu RISE (Regional Innovation System & Education) project, specifically promoted through KNU’s ongoing project: "Establishing a Daegu-style R&D Lifecycle Support System."
The 'KNU DAEGU RISE' pavilion featured seven local companies representing Daegu’s five core future industries: Gongsung Co., Ltd.; Raji Co., Ltd.; Juwon Co., Ltd.; and Prevision Co., Ltd., attending Automotive World Japan 2026; and Jinmyeong I&C Co., Ltd.; Shilla System Co., Ltd.; and Prompt Town Co., Ltd., attending NEPCON Japan 2026.

Jinmyeong I&C Co., Ltd., attracted significant attention from both Japanese and global industry representatives with its intelligent disaster-prevention and security CCTV systems utilizing triple sensors, recording USD $1.24 million in consultation performance.
Kim Hyun-deok, Director of the KNU Region-Industry-University-Research Cooperation Technology Research Institute, stated: "This is a meaningful case where the fruits of industry-academic cooperation, built together by the university and local companies through the Daegu RISE project, were validated in the Japanese market. We will continue to support the overseas expansion of local companies and the growth of export performance through continued participation in global exhibitions."
