KNU Takes First Place in the 2014 Leiden Rankings in the Field of Cognitive Science

KNU was been named as the number 1 university in Korea for publications in the field of cognitive science in the 2014 Leiden Rankings. The Research Institute of Science and Technology of Leiden University researched and nominated the top 10% of the most quoted theses among thesis published by 750 different universities worldwide between 2009 and 2012. The Leiden ranking evaluates the standard of theses that have been quoted in subsequent international research. This in turn provides an estimate of research outcomes produced by professors at each respective university.
KNU accounted for 6% of the top 10% of theses related to the field of cognition science, the highest rate among domestic universities in Korea. The list of evaluated universities was based on the top 1% of theses produced, as compiled by Joong-ang Newspaper Company last year.
