Fall 2018 KNU Challenge Korea Program Announcement

What is CHALLENGE KOREA?

Program Objectives

Kyungpook National University offers international students an opportunity to explore cultural experiences in South Korea with their friends at KNU. The program aims at promote better understanding of Korean culture and traditions not to mention intercultural learning between international students at KNU and local students who are currently enrolled in.

Who can apply

International students (exchange/undergraduate/graduate) and Korean students who are interested in sharing perspectives in a wide variety of issues of culture can join the program.

How to apply

A. Create a team of about 4~6 international and Korean students (The number of international students should be half of the team members or more.)

B. Fill out an application form (attached, in Korean)

C. Submit it to the Office of International Affairs with a copy of bankbook of the team leader and Personal Information Collection and Usage Agreement with your signature.

Application Deadline : 4 p.m., Oct 10 (WED)

※ Candidate teams will be announced on Oct 16 (TUE)

How many teams can be selected: 20 teams

※ FYI, application will be reviewed based upon the quality of proposal.

A maximum of KRW 500,000 will be awarded to each team selected.

The activity should be completed between Oct 19 (FRI) and Nov 11(SUN)

All the participants are required to submit activity reports --Written report & PowerPoint file or Video file, after the trip to get the fund.

※ Report Submission Deadline: 4p.m., Nov 16 (Friday)

Everyone in the team should participate in all the activities including outings.

You cannot change your travel itinerary without an advance notice.

Funds is reimbursed after submitting all requirements

Every team must submit a written report by the due date listed above.

본교에 재학 중인 외국인 유학생과 우리 대학 재학생 4~6명이 한 팀을 구성하여 우리나라 유명 관광지 또는 유적지를 방문하여 한국의 전통과 문화를 배우는 프로그램으로, 외국인 유학생들이 한국 문화를 직접 체험하고 재학생과 교류할 수 있는 기회를 제공하기 위해 마련된 프로그램입니다.
