2025 Kyungpook National University Diversity Essay Contest

Purpose

-The establishment and motivation of values about inclusion and coexistence in our multicultural university surrounding community environment

-The sharing of KNU members’ stories about ‘Difference’ and ‘Coexistence,’ while increasing diversity awareness

Outline

1.Submission Period: 2025. 11. 10. (Mon) ~ 11. 28. (Fri)

2.Eligibility: All members of KNU(including all undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and staff)

3.Content: "Writing Diversity: My University, Our Story of Coexistence"

-Write about your experiences of difference and coexistence in the context of diversity — such as gender, disability, language, nationality, age, sexual orientation, and socio-economic background.

-You may freely share stories of overcoming discrimination or challenges, practicing diversity and inclusion, or offer ideas on how our university can become a more equal and inclusive space.

4.Submission Format: Free Essay Format

(about 2-3 pages (A4 size), 12-point font, in Korean or English)

Submission Method: Submit the application form and your essay by email to diversity1@knu.ac.kr

Announcement of Results & Award Mid-December 2025
