The Office of International Affairs at Kyungpook National University is pleased to announce the Spring 2026 KNU Video Contest for exchange and double-degree students.
This contest provides a meaningful opportunity to showcase your unique experiences at KNU and to share your perspective with future students who may be considering studying here. Selected videos may serve as inspiring introductions to campus life at KNU.
We warmly encourage exchange and double-degree students to create and submit a video based on one of the designated themes for a chance to receive awards. Please find below the detailed schedule and evaluation criteria for the Spring 2026 KNU Video Contest.
Contest Themes
You can choose one from the following themes.
- Best Things to do at KNU
- Tips for Future KNU Exchange Students
- Korea/KNU Insights: Discoveries You've Made
Conditions
1) Students can participate in the contest as an individual or a team
2) Students can create the video in their own languages or English.
If the video is created in a language other than English, English subtitles are required.
Standards of Video
1) Videos should have a running time of approximately 3 minutes.
(It is highly recommended to make your video between 2 to 3 minutes long.)
2) Videos should be filmed horizontally.
(Aspect ratio of 4:3 or 16:9, etc.)
3) Full HD or higher resolution quality is recommended.
4) Including subtitles (in English or Korean) will be considered a strong advantage.

* Submit all the aforementioned documents and videos to the email: sabroad@knu.ac.kr
* If the video file is too large to be sent by email, please first submit Attachments 1 and 2 by email and inform us that you will visit the office to submit the video file on a USB drive. You may then bring the USB drive to the OIA in person(Jungmin Lee).
Schedules
1) Application submission: May 18 to 22, 2026
2) Evaluation: May 26 to June 1, 2026
3) Result announcement: June 5, 2026 (expected)
4) Awards ceremony: Mid-June, 2026 (expected)
Screening Criteria(100-point scale)
1)Originality/Creativity(40 points): Does the video draw in the viewer and keep their attention? Videos with fun or entertaining elements may score higher.
2)Appeal(30 points): Does the video effectively represent KNU experiences and promote KNU international programs?
3)Completeness(30 points): What is the overall quality (visuasoundl and sounds) of the video?
Prizes
1) 1st (1 video): KRW 300,000
2) 2nd (2 videos): KRW 200,000
3) 3rd (3 videos): KRW 100,000
※ Others (Please read this thoroughly) ※
1) For images, video segments, and music that have been plagiarized or imitated without proper (i.e., legal) permission or ownership acknowledgment, the winner will be required to forfeit the prize, return the reward, and bear full legal responsibility for the work.
2) The copyright, ownership, and usage rights of the winning entries belong to the Office of International Affairs at Kyungpook National University.
3) Winners must assume full responsibility for any involvement in plagiarism or copyright infringement disputes.
4) To prevent copyright issues, use materials from free or open sources.
5) Only selected presentations (i.e., those that meet predetermined standards for content and quality) will qualify for prizes.
