KNU Ranked 10th in Korea by US News & World Report for “Best Global University”
Kyungpook National University ranked 10th in Korea, 122nd in Asia and 618th in the world, according to US News & World Report, a U.S. weekly magazine. Forty-one Korean universities made the list, which took 1,678 universities in 86 countries and ranked them from 1 – 1,500.
Based on data from Clarivate Analytics, an academic information service company, the university's research reputation, international cooperative research, standardized citation impact, the number of top 1% and 10% citation papers, and the top 1% and 10% citation rates were graded and calculated in the last five years (2014-2018). Among them, Kyungpook National University ranked 145th in the world in the "research performance reputation" category and 297th in the "research publications" category.
In other academic rankings, KNU ranked second in Korea in Animal and Plant Science, 272nd in the world, and sixth in Korea in Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology and Applied Microbiology, respectively, 117th and 171st in the world.
