The Kyungpook National University Museum was selected for the second year in a row as a ‘Cultural Exchange Representative Program’ hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and managed by the Federation of Korean Cultural Centers.

As part of the cultural volunteer activity revitalization project supported by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the ‘Cultural Exchange Representative Program’ is managed by the Federation of Korean Cultural Centers with the aim of allowing all citizens to participate in cultural volunteer work while furthering the development of a cultural community.

With this selection, the Kyungpook National University Museum will carry out the second year of the ‘Campus Culture Sharing Radius 800m’ project, which began last year. This project utilizes the university’s abundant cultural resources located within nearby daily life spaces to create a cultural volunteer program. This year, the project will focus on ‘KNU Heritage Culture Volunteers.’

Park Cheon-su, Director of the Kyungpook National University Museum, noted, “With the national university as a base, we have planned programs which are tailored to regional characteristics by utilizing the cultural resources of our university. It is my hope that a culture of sharing will spread throughout the local community through the participation of many people.”
