KNU Hosts Successful ‘Cherry Blossom Day’ with Local Residents

In celebration of cherry blossom season, Kyungpook National University held ‘Cherry Blossom Day’ to great success on April 1st with local residents at the KNU student parking lot.
The KNU campus, where cherry trees can be found in full bloom all over, is famous as a cherry blossom spot in the city.
On this day, which was held against the backdrop of cherry blossoms extending from the KNU Main Gate to Ilcheongdam pond, many locals visited and enjoyed various programs such as military band and club performances and experiences while fully enjoying the nice spring weather.
In particular, the military band and honor guard of the 2nd Operational Command, and the small group military band of the 3rd Army Academy received great responses from the audience with their wonderful performances. A bazaar with items donated by KNU faculty, staff, and students was also a success. Some popular items were sold by auction and attracted attention. Proceeds from this day will be donated to the Daegu City Self-Reliance Integrated Support Center for local youth self-reliance preparation.
In addition, a variety of other events to enjoy, such as a cherry blossom wish tree, face painting, caricature drawing, flea market, and free instant photos added to the day's fun.
