KNU 1st Among National Universities in 2024 THE World University Rankings

Kyungpook National University ranked 501-600th in the world, 9th among domestic comprehensive universities, 14th domestically, and 1st among national universities in the 2024 THE World University Rankings recently announced by THE (Times Higher Education), a British global university evaluation agency. This is a significant increase from last year’s ranking of 801-1000th in the world.
The evaluation areas of the 2024 THE World University Rankings include Educational Conditions (29.5%), Research Environment (29%), Quality of Research (30%), Industry-Academic Cooperation (4%), and Internationalization (7.5%). This year's rankings included 1,904 universities from 108 countries, including 39 domestic universities. KNU’s scores increased in all areas, especially in the area of Quality of Research, which increased by 24 points compared to last year.
Meanwhile, Kyungpook National University is achieving excellent results in various other world university evaluations as well, including scoring 42nd place in the ‘2023 THE World University Impact Rankings,’ 91st place in the ‘2023 QS Asia University Rankings,’ and 177th place in the ‘2023 THE Asia University Rankings.’
