KNU College of Education Training and Internship Results

On February 27, KNU held a conference to announce the first-round results of the Global Teacher’s University (GTU) training initiative. During the last winter vacation, KNU sent 23 students, including graduate and undergraduate students, to the US as part of the GTU training program. The students attended courses at the University of Northern Iowa, and visited middle schools in Utah to observe different classrooms and teaching methods.

While in America, KNU students also took the Praxis test, a test of knowledge and skills for teacher candidates. Five students passed the test, enabling them to enroll in US education training programs that will eventually give them American teaching certification.

The GTU conference, titled “Performance in Overseas Education in 2013”, was held at Hotel Inter-Burgo, Manchon dong, Daegu. About 120 people attended the ceremony, including freshmen students, professors, guest speakers, and the students who participated in the training course.
