Subject: Job Opening for English Editor                              

 

Hyundai Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. (HHI), the world's biggest shipbuilder and a Fortune Global 500 company, is looking for an experienced English editor to work at our head office in Ulsan, South Korea.

 

1.        Duties

-  Editing, proofreading company documents written in English including company magazines, press releases, catalogues, advertisements, etc.

-  Assisting in work related to the company PR activities

 

2.        Working hours

-  08: 00 - 18:00 from Monday to Friday

 

3.        Annual Salary

-  Negotiable (dependent on career)

 

4.        Benefits

-  Air fare for initial arrival and repatriation (including moving expenses)

-  HHI summer holiday (about 2 weeks)

-  14 consecutive calendar days holiday (including economy class airfare to hometown)

5.        Qualifications

-  Native speaker of English

-  A minimum of 2 years’ editing experience, preferably in a corporate environment

-  Experience in public relations is favourably considered

-  Bachelor's degree, preferably in English or journalism, from a reputable university in an English-speaking country

-  Ability to work both independently as well as part of a team

-  Preference given to those that can understand and speak Korean

 

6.        Required Documents

-  English résumé & cover letter (including recent photo)

-  English essay on ‘Corporate PR and the role of PR personnel’ in 600 words
