The Office of International Affairs at Kyungpook National University holds the Fall 2024 KNU Video Contest』 event for international exchange and double degree students.

As anticipated, the exceptional videos function as a welcoming introduction to KNU for international students considering a future visit to the university. We invite international exchange and double-degree students to create and submit a video on one of the designated themes for an opportunity to win awards. Below, I have for you the comprehensive schedules and criteria for the Fall 2024 KNU Video Contest.

 

Contest Themes

You can choose one from the following themes.

- Best Things to do at Daegu

- Tips for Future KNU Exchange Students

- 5 Things I Did with My Buddy

- Personal Vlog as a KNU Exchange Student

 

Conditions

1) Students can participate in the contest as an individual or a team

2) Students can create the video in their languages or English. If they choose to create it in their language, English subtitles are required.

 

Standards of Video

1) Videos with a running time of around 3 minutes.

(It is highly recommended to make your video between 2 to 3 minutes long.)

2) Videos should be filmed horizontally. (with ratio of 4:3 or 16:9 etc)

3) Full HD or higher resolution quality is recommended.

 

Submission: by November 15 (Friday), 2024

3) Video(s)

Schedules

1) Application submission: November 11 to 15, 2024

2) Evaluation: November 18 to 22, 2024

3) Result announcement: November 25, 2024 (expected)

4) Awards ceremony: December, 2024 (expected)

 

Screening Criteria (100-point scale)

1) Creativity and Message Delivery (40 points): Original approach to the theme, effectiveness in conveying the core message

2) Production Quality (30 points): Composition of the video, quality of visuals and editing

3) Impact and Promotional Usability (20 points): Understanding of the theme, potential for positive effects

 

Prizes

1) 1st (1 video): KRW 300,000

2) 2nd (2 videos): KRW 200,000

3) 3rd (3 videos): KRW 100,000

 

Others (Please read this thoroughly)

1) For images, video segments, and music that have been plagiarized or imitated without proper (i.e., legal) permission or ownership acknowledgment, the winner will be required to forfeit the prize, return the reward, and bear full legal responsibility for the work.

2) The copyright, ownership, and usage rights of the winning entries belong to the Office of International Affairs at Kyungpook National University.

3) Winners must assume full responsibility for any involvement in plagiarism or copyright infringement disputes.

4) To prevent copyright issues, use materials from free or open sources.

5) Only selected presentations (i.e., those that meet predetermined standards for content and quality) will qualify for prizes.
