Kyungpook National University signed a Business Agreement 
with the Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education to operate and support the International Baccalaureate 

Under the agreement, the two organizations will work together to settle the international Baccalaureate successfully. 
The main contents of the agreement are △the Mutual sharing of human and material resources and the active use of educational infrastructure 
for the operation and support of the International Baccalaureate (IB) △Curriculum research and career path for future creative convergence cooperation 
in the counseling field for the advancement △ of Mutual support and cooperation in student education and teacher competency-strengthening training.

The IB program is an internationally certified school education program developed and operated 
by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO), a non-profit educational foundation based in Switzerland.

It is characterized by discussion and process-oriented classes and essay-type evaluations that break away from 
the set answer-finding education, and is a school education system that pursues learners' self-directed growth through this.

Hong Won-Hwa, president of Kyungpook National University, said, "Through this mutual agreement, 
we will establish a mutual cooperative education system to operate and support the International Baccalaureate (IB) 
in line with the 4th Industrial Revolution and changes in the global education paradigm."

 "We will actively support and provide the educational infrastructure of universities to create an environment 
where future generations can experience various education," he said.
