Chilgok Kyungpook National University Hospital opened a telemedicine center in Uzbekistan.
The cooperative project, which has been going on since before the new coronavirus infection (COVID-19),
has come to fruition this time.

Chilgok Kyungpook National University Hospital opened a telemedicine center
at the 2nd Hospital of Samarkand National Medical University in Uzbekistan from the 30th of last month to the 11th.
Following the opening ceremony, a pilot operation and surgical nursing education for local nursing personnel were also conducted.

This project was carried out as part of the "Development and Entry of a Telemedicine System tailored
to Central Asia" in the "2022 Medical Overseas Advancement Project Support Project"
organized by the Korea Health Industry Promotion Agency.

Chilgok Kyungpook National University Hospital developed a telemedicine system tailored to Central Asia,
including a component-type drug prescription system, remote rehabilitation service, and a medical information survey system
tailored to frequency diseases according to the current status of local medicines in Uzbekistan.
Analysts say that it has opened the door to overseas medical advancement by providing high-quality medical treatment
to overseas patients who cannot visit Korea and diversifying the telemedicine field into medical practices that lead to patient treatment and prescription.

Kwon Tae-kyun, head of Chilgok Kyungpook National University Hospital, said,
"The opening of the telemedicine center has been an opportunity to present a new direction
for the Korean medical industry and establish a customized remote cooperation and prescription system in Central Asia."

"Chilgok Kyungpook National University Hospital and the Samarkand government are partners in continuous cooperation,"
said Lustam Kubirov, deputy governor of Samarkand.

"The opening of the telemedicine center will provide various medical services to Samarkand medical staff and patients,
and will play a central role in medical exchanges with Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan."
