The Jung-gu Office in Daegu announced on the 23rd that the Jung-gu Dementia Relief Center has designated Kyungpook National University Graduate School of Health as a "leading university to overcome dementia" organized by the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
This is the first of the eight Daegu-gu and county dementia relief centers to designate a university as a leading institution for overcoming dementia.
The Dementia Overcoming Leading University is aimed at creating a dementia-friendly social culture in which dementia patients and their families can live safely by participating in our society's efforts to overcome dementia, and can establish a companion to understand and support dementia patients and families.
"We expect Kyungpook National University's Graduate School of Health to successfully play a role as a leading university to overcome dementia by dealing with in-depth information on dementia, such as the current status and problems of dementia in curriculums such as health and chronic military studies," said Jung-gu.
