KNU Museum Selected for Special Promotion Project
The Kyungpook National University Museum was selected for the “2020 University Museum Promotion Support Project” organized by the Korea University Museum Association.
The “University Museum Promotion Support Project” is designed to operate high-quality exhibitions and education linkage programs specialized in history and culture. A total of 17 university museums were selected this year.
Being selected, Kyungpook National University Museum plans to run hands-on programs using cultural heritage preservation science, invite experts for lectures, and offer field trips to local cultural heritage sites under the theme of preservation and protection of cultural heritage from June to November.
Kim Yookyung, director of the KNU Museum noted, “Understanding and education about the preservation of cultural assets is paramount in discovering and utilizing potentially valuable cultural assets. I hope this project will help remind us of the precious culture assets around us and recognize the importance of future heritage.”
