Kyungpook National University's Institute of International Development (Director Shin Dong-Hyun) announced
on the 12th that it has recently been selected as an implementation of two projects,
the ASEAN High Value-Added Agricultural Capacity Enhancement Master's Degree Training Project.
The project period is from March to December 2024, and a total of 5.5 billion won will be provided, 3 billion won and 2.5 billion won, respectively.

The KOICA Master's Degree Training Project is a process to contribute to the economic and social development
of developing countries by sharing experiences and skills accumulated in Korea's development process
and supporting human capabilities centered on field trips.
The ASEAN High Value-Added Agricultural Competency Enhancement Master's Degree Training Project targets 45 officials,
businessmen, NGOs, and related field workers in six ASEAN countries, and the Agricultural Productivity Competency Enhancement
Master's Degree Training Project target 60 officials, university officials, and researchers in 24 developing countries.

"Gyeongbuk National University has operated a master's degree program in KOICA since 2014, producing 96 trainees from 37 countries.
Based on the infrastructure and know-how accumulated so far, we plan to train various agricultural technologies, policy development,
and distribution methods to improve agricultural productivity in developing countries, while also focusing on internships
and field trips to apply the technology to our home countries.
