KNU Central Park is an outdoor park with a total of 202,700 square meters from the university's main gate to the small stadium, and the first phase of the construction is 16,500 square meters.
With the completion of the project, a maple and zelkova walkway was created from the front of the main gate to the east gate, and a walkway consisting of poet Yoo Chi-hwan, poet Kim Chun-soo, who served as a professor at Kyungpook National University, and poet Kim Yoon-hwan, Heo Man-ha and poet Kwon Ki-ho from the east gate was built.
In the future, the school plans to create an 800-unit parking lot underground in two stages and create 114,000 square meters of grass square and 71,000 square meters of the green park around Ilcheongdam pond near the main building to provide a resting place for citizens.
"We expect the completion of the Central Park, which runs through the center of the university, to serve as an open space as a local attraction at a time when the green space in downtown Daegu." said the president of Kyungpook National University.
